Who We Are

Nostalgic Boys Are a Tiger

The FUNDACJA SZTUK PERFORMATYWNYCH "NOSTALGIC BOYS" is a Polish foundation working in Warsaw. Our organization engages in creation, organization, and development of unique performance events in such areas as theater, dance, performance art and interdisciplinarity etc. – both in Poland and overseas. Besides nostalgia, which is inherent in our organization's name, we also have an aspiration to move forward: we are nostalgic boys but we are also a tiger.

The Team

Members of our ensemble include both artists, choreographers, directors and performers: Natasza Aleksandrowitch, Malgorzata Biela, Monika Frajczyk, Sebastian Grygo, Klaudia Hartung-Wojciak, Weronika Lukaszewski, Filip Perkowski and Marcin Wojciechowski and Agnieszka Karpinska.

Original Works

From The Rite of Spring to Desmodium and Mimosa Pudica, from All My Dead Sweethearts to 2026 Internet Creation Complaint—all of our performances represent a unique trip through the human body, memories, environment, and life experiences. We perform our works in Warsaw, Poland, as well as in festivals worldwide (e.g., Santarcangelo).

Foundation & Mission

We are a registered non-profit culture organization with registration number KRS 0000895416. We promote the performing arts in Poland via our activities, cross disciplinary actions, virtual performances, and collaboration internationally. Art is not luxury; art is a need.

complaint (on-line)

In our latest project, "Complaint" (2026), we create a performance artwork that delves deeper into the issues surrounding the body, loss, and institutions, but now in the realm of the digital. In doing so, we provide another dimension through which our work can be viewed and experienced by viewers. Our work is complemented by an artist's book that is its visual counterpart.

It furthers the exploration of the language of emotion and body initiated in earlier writings through an inquiry into the real meaning of making a complaint, to whom it is made, and what is left behind when the body is the only witness.

All My Dead Sweethearts

"'All My Dead Sweethearts' is a series of performance pieces involving laments and was initially performed at the Santarcangelo Festival and then performed at the CK Zamek in Poznań. The piece is a series of laments—an intimate and highly emotional performance exploring themes of loss, grief, and love after death.'"

M. Kaczyński – thanks to CK Zamek. It was a very significant move for the foundation as regards its international image, and it included the presentation of contemporary Polish performance art at one of the most prestigious European cultural events.
